THE WOMEN BEHIND THE MISSION
Our board is made up of mothers, mentors, advocates, and community members who believe that consistent love and guidance can change the direction of a young woman's life.
Each member brings her own experience and perspective, but all five share one promise: to carry Sasha's legacy forward through healing, mentorship, education, opportunity, and hope.

Sasha's Mother
Losing my daughter Sasha to gun violence is a pain that words can never fully capture. In the midst of that grief, I felt an undeniable pull to keep her light alive.
Sasha was full of beauty, love, and potential. I created Blending Beauty with Love to help young women know that they matter, that they are deeply loved, and that their lives have value. If one young woman feels seen, supported, and safe because of this work, then Sasha's spirit continues through something beautiful.

As Amira's sister and Sasha's aunt, Yasmin witnessed Amira turn unimaginable pain into purpose. She serves to help young women recognize the strength and beauty within themselves and believes that surrounding them with love can change lives—one young woman at a time.

Lauren believes in the power of community to transform pain into purpose. Guided by her long relationship with Amira, she brings both heart and thoughtful perspective to the mission—supporting the web of love surrounding every young person and the families who care for them.

Mariam knew Sasha from before she was born, and Sasha's death deeply affected her as a mother and community member. She is inspired by Amira's strength and committed to helping build something uplifting that empowers young women to choose beauty, hope, and a better future.

Andrea has worked with young adults in Napa Valley since 2010, creating safe spaces where they can speak openly and find direction, healing, and hope. She believes young people need guidance and the reminder that they are loved, gifted, and here for a purpose.
