Sasha’s Story
Remembering Sasha Ann Mufich — her light, her dreams,
and the love that lives on through all of us.

A beautiful life. So many dreams.
Sasha Ann Mufich was a bright, vibrant young woman
with a compassionate heart and a future full of
possibility. On April 13, 2024, her life was tragically
taken by gun violence. She was only 17.
Sasha had recently graduated from Valley Oak High
School in Napa, California, and dreamed of pursuing
a career in cosmetology. On the very day we lost her,
she had toured a cosmetology school — taking a step
toward a future she should have had the chance to live.
She was athletic, protective of the people she loved,
and an old soul. Pink was her favorite color. Her
infectious spirit and kindness touched so many lives.
To us, she will always be our Sasha: a daughter, a
sister, a friend, and a deeply loved part of our family.

To her mother, Amira, and her father, Mike, and her step father Tomas, Sasha
will always be their little girl. Her siblings,
Safia, Leo, Eaven, and our entire family carry her love
with them. The space she leaves in our lives can
never be filled.
We miss her in the big moments, but also in the
smallest ones: the conversations we wish we could
have, the family pictures that should still include
her, and the ordinary days we would give anything
to share again. We miss who she was, and we grieve
all the moments and milestones she should still
be here to experience.
Our love for Sasha did not end when her life did.
We speak her name, share her story, and hold on to
the memories that remind us how lucky we were to
love her. She was, and will always be, in our hearts.

Her love is guiding our purpose.
No family should have to experience this heartbreak.
No girl should have her dreams taken away by violence.
We want young women to know that their lives matter,
their futures matter, and they deserve to feel safe,
seen, loved, and empowered.
In Sasha’s honor, we created Blending Beauty with
Love LLS Inc. Through the Long Live Sasha Memorial
Scholarship, mentorship, healing experiences, and
connections to support, we work to help teens and
young adults find hope, purpose, and a path toward
their dreams — including careers in cosmetology.
We cannot undo what happened to Sasha. But we can
show up for other girls. We can listen, help them
build confidence, connect them with caring people,
and remind them they do not have to face difficult
things alone. Our hope is to help create a safer,
more compassionate future, one young person at a time.

Sasha touched so many lives in Napa, and her loss
continues to be felt throughout our community.
Every act of kindness, every shared memory, and
every person who joins this work helps keep her
legacy of love alive.
The Long Live Sasha Memorial Shop was created to
help raise funds for the scholarship in her name.
